How is the virtual assistant program structured?

The Virtual Assistant Program is a 6-week program!

It is a combination of pre-recorded videos and live sessions.

  • Every week, the learning management system (Selar) unlocks pre-recorded videos for you to watch at your convenience. The videos are kept at around 30 minutes each.
  • We understand that you may be busy with other things during the day. This allows you to watch them at your convenience.
  • Every Saturday, we host live sessions where our in-house and guest coaches share new topics.
    For example, it is during our live sessions that you learn skills such as how to use freelancing platforms, how to prepare premium resumes and cover letters, and more. 
  • The live classes are recorded so that even if you miss them, you will also have access to the replay. That means you get to miss nothing!
  • We have weekly tasks to help you consolidate your learning for the week. This will ultimately help you prepare a sound portfolio.

Please note that although the program spans six weeks, you will have access to course materials for a full year.

What platforms are we using for the training?

We are using free and simple platforms to organise this training. This will help you ease into working digitally. 

A. Selar.com: The pre-recorded course videos are hosted on Selar. This allows you to log in at your convenience to watch the videos. The videos are kept at around 30 minutes each.

B. WhatsApp Community: This is for support, announcements, interaction and feedback on assignments.

C. Google Meet: For all live sessions.

These platforms can be accessed on any good smartphone or computer. All you need is a strong internet connection and a sufficient data subscription.

It is a combination of detailed pre-recorded videos and bi-weekly live sessions. Each week, you get a set of videos to watch and tasks to complete. The videos are an average of 3 minutes each so that you don't get overwhelmed. The tasks are industry-standard and would help you have a solid ready-to-work portfolio at the end of the training.

Must I have a laptop before I can take this course?

No, you don't need a laptop to learn. You can learn with a smartphone and even do some tasks with your smartphone. However, I recommend you start planning for a laptop as soon as you can.

Is there support after this course?

Yes, there is a very active alumni community where we help each other grow. After the class period, you get to join the community for further support.
